Silver Linings 2021

El Nido

Happy New Year to you all! I know it’s been a while. I wish I can say that I’ve been very busy hopping from one island to another and snorkeling away. But that’s not the case. See, my life took a crazy turn – hopefully for the better. I’ve been working a lot lately outside the travel industry. But it doesn’t mean that I’ve forgotten all about Palawan Alt. Pandemic hit us really hard and we have no choice but to explore other options for survival.

Everything that I do has something to do with Palawan Alt actually. All for my vision. Basically, I just want to travel around Palawan more and be able to promote the unspoiled destinations in this region – especially now that our lockdown has eased up. And the best way to be able to make things happen is to earn more money. That’s what I’ve been doing at the moment.

All good things take time. Those who manage to stick around and hold on to dear life will benefit greatly in the long run. We’ve just learned how strong we are. Because the truth is, it’s way harder to live.

The good news is that El Nido is now open to domestic tourists. If there’s the best time to travel to Palawan, I believe that is now. When our nature has finally recovered from mass tourism and the sights are less crowded. Unfortunately though, visiting Palawan is not yet possible for international travelers. But that doesn’t stop us from making travel plans and dreaming of emerald waters and exotic islands.

2020 taught us a lot of things from the varying pains we experienced. One of the harshest lessons is that anything, anyone can be taken away from us – pandemic or no pandemic. I’ve seen more deaths in my life than humans brought to this world. Everything is ephemeral.

I am here to make the most of my life here in Palawan while I can and continue sharing the beauty of our nature with you all. And hopefully, we can see each other in the future.

Cheers to more travel and adventures in 2021!
