WHICH PALAWAN TOUR PACKAGE IS FOR ME?  

We know that you want to have the best tropical holiday you can imagine on our beautiful island, Palawan. Palawan Alternative already has pre-designed itineraries to suit every individual’s interest and needs. Each Palawan package includes tours that are highly recommended to ensure you will have a great time with us, and rest assured that we can still customize each package according to your group’s preferences. Do you like scuba diving, island-hopping, or trekking? Do you prefer snorkeling or any water sports? We have everything, you name it! Our itinerary specialist will work with you to design the best possible tour package for you. We are here to work hard so you don’t have to.

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK THE TRIP? 

This would depend on how far in advance you prefer to plan your trip. We usually arrange Palawan tours months in advance but we could also book last-minute trips. Please be aware of the major considerations as you plan your trips such as the weather, visa requirements, holiday and festivals (can be quite crowded) and seasonal demand (the dry season in the Philippines).

HOW TO BOOK?

We would like to make a booking as easy as possible. Once you have finalized the itinerary with our itinerary specialist, we will ask you to fill out our booking form to get your details and a 50% deposit per person which can be paid via Paypal, credit card or western union. All deposits can be paid separately by each individual as long as we only have one form that we can use to track the payments. Once we have the deposits and all the details, we will send you a booking confirmation. When everything is 100% set and reserved such as the tours, transportation and hotel accommodation, we will send you the final confirmation with the invoice. All start dates are guaranteed, once confirmed. You will also receive an email reminder at least three weeks before your trip.

WHAT SHOULD I PACK?  

We have a tropical climate so expect humid and sunny weather. Please see our packing list below for all the things to bring. Make sure to bring rain gear as well as the weather can get unpredictable sometimes.

WHAT IS THE WEATHER LIKE IN PALAWAN? 

This is probably an impossible question for us to answer as the weather can be very unpredictable here sometimes. Palawan falls into a tropical climate category and has two seasons – wet and dry. But historically, the dry season is from November to May, which is the best time to visit. The temperature averages around 30 degrees Celsius and rainfall rarely occur during this period.

ARE YOUR TOURS SUITABLE FOR ALL AGES? 

We specialize in Family travels. Our tours include proper fun activities and serious adventure for all ages, both children and adults will enjoy. However, make sure to let us know the health conditions and the physical fitness level so our itinerary specialist can find tours and destinations suitable to everyone’s needs.

WHAT IS THE FOOD LIKE? 

As we say, food is culture and travel is also about trying the local dish. We do not serve fast-food in the islands. Most of the tours will include lunch or as specified, which are usually buffet food of fresh seafood, vegetables, and a local dish of Palawan. However, if you have dietary requirements, allergies or if you are a vegetarian or vegan, make sure to let us know ahead so we can accommodate the individual’s food preferences.

HOW MUCH TO GIVE IN TIPS TO THE GUIDES?

Tips for the guides are not included in the price of the Palawan tour. It is something that you can give from the bottom of your heart as an extra present to the staff after having a wonderful experience with them. However, please be aware that tips are not mandatory.

WHAT IF A TOUR GOT CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER?

In the event that one of the Palawan tours got canceled due to weather conditions, we will try our best to replace it with an equally amazing tour or activity. Perhaps a visit to a stunning and less crowded beach or a reroute to another beautiful island. We’ll most likely suggest taking one of the fun tours that we offer within the area. Please remember that tours getting canceled, islands temporarily being shut down or sea travel not being permitted by the government due to bad weather conditions are not within our control. We hope that you understand that we will strictly comply with the rules and regulations for everyone’s safety.

WHERE TO STAY?

Our goal is to give our guests local experience without sacrificing comfort. Our itinerary specialists will try their best to offer you a moderate level hotel or lovely accommodation available on the island. Just in case the preferred rooms or accommodation are fully-booked, we will suggest a similar hotel. Please talk to our itinerary specialist to know our recommended hotels.

HOW TO GET TO PALAWAN?

Most people get to Palawan by air. We highly recommend flying to Puerto Princesa City which is the main starting point of all our itineraries. At this moment though, all airports in Palawan are for domestic travel only. So if you come directly from overseas to Manila, make sure to get your luggage and recheck them for your flight to Puerto Princesa City. If your itinerary is ending in Coron, make sure to book your flight from Coron back to Manila. Please take note that we do not book flights at the moment but we can certainly recommend airlines. Most have regular promos to suit your budget and offering the same flight schedules, such as Cebu Pacific, Air Asia, and Philippine Airlines.

WHAT HAPPENS IF ANY OF MY FLIGHTS GOT DELAYED

We recommend booking your flights at least 1-2 days before the start of your travel itinerary in case there will be any flight delays, whether international or domestic. Please make sure to inform us of your flight details for our reference.
